DOOM использует архивы в формате WAD

Heretic и Hexen

Официальными портами этих игр являются hhexen (Hacked Hexen) и hheretic (Hacked
Heretic). Можно использовать их. Скачать 32-х битную версию движка можно
отсюда. https://hhexen.sourceforge.net/ Но на 64-х битных системах
потребуются 64-х битные библиотеки. Поэтому вы можете либо собрать
движок из исходного кода, либо - скачать собранные мной бинарные файлы.
Далее вам потребуются файлы hexen.wad и heretic.wad. Положите их в
директорию с исполняемым файлами (для hhexen и hheretic соответственно) и
запустите игру. В результате вы получите полностью оригинальную версию
игры, с соответствующим "графоном" и разрешением экрана. Но есть более
продвинутый способ - движок Doomsday. Этот движок обладает
дополнительными графическими (и не только) возможностями, и его
использование не вызывает затруднений. Опять же - он есть в репозиториях
большинства дистрибутивов. Устанавливаем в Debian/Ubuntu:

sudo apt install doomsday

WAD-файлы как и прежде нужно закинуть в директорию /usr/share/games/doom. Далее
запускаем из терминала doomsday. Откроется консоль, где командой load
имяигры вы можете запустить нужную игру. К примеру

load heretic

Либо же запустить по методу PrBoom:

keys, just like doom, heretic, and such. Doom did not have freelook,
keyboard or otherwise.

Ever wanted to play vanilla Heretic or Hexen with mouselook or freelook like
in ZDoom and other advanced ports? Well now you can!

First, disable internal mouse support from Setup (set your controller to
keyboard only). Then, download this little program, place it into the
same directory with your vanilla game executable file and run it.

Sensitivity and button mappings can be adjusted with command line parameters, use ravmouse -? to see how.

It works fine in demos and netgames even if the other players do not have
ravmouse. It should also work fine with Heretic+, Hexen+, heretic.com
and any other EXE hacks you might be using since it doesn't modify the
executable at all.

Tested in DOSBox only so far but I see no reason why it wouldn't work on real hardware.

Yes, you need the WinUAE Translation DLL (which matches the version of Winuae you have installed) and a program to edit the DLL file, for example, ResEdit. Copy and rename the DLL to the language you want to translate to e.g. Winuae_French.dll. Open Resedit and open the DLL file. The area you will want to change is the String Table which contains the wording to be changed to your language. Change the word in the box on the bottom left side. When done click on Save. Copy the new DLL to your Winuae program directory and run WinUAE and select the language in the Miscellaneous tab.

Does any one know where I could obtain this rom from? I have only been able
to find a bin file which is no good I have even changed the file
extension to .rom and still no luck?

Which ROM do you have in mind?

The Picasso IV stored its firmware (both parts) in a flash ROM, the contents of which could be reprogrammed by a specific tool.

The first part (the bootstrap loader) could not be reprogrammed without a
developer tool which was not available to customers, if I remember
correctly.

The second part (which contained the driver software for the flicker fixer and the hardware add-ons) could be reprogrammed
using a tool designed specifically for this purpose. If I remember
correctly, the name of the firmware file was irrelevant.

im trying to get Winuae beta 16 up and running for PPC support, I have got
the Blizzard Rom but I also need the Picasso iv rom for it as well.

The flash file has a 128KB PIV_FLAS.BIN file. My working Winuae ROMs dir has a 128KB picasso_iv_flash.rom file. While I
don't actually remember doing so, I think I must have renamed it.

It must reside in the path for System ROMs in your Winuae Paths settings.

Where do I need to put the dll files and library's?

This you need. Rename it to picasso_iv_flash.rom and place it into your ROM folder and make a ROM rescan

Yes Rename to picasso_iv_flash.rom and put in C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Documentos\Amiga Files\WinUAE (XP System are here)

Это вам нужно. Переименуйте его в picasso_iv_flash.rom, поместите в папку ПЗУ и выполните повторное сканирование ПЗУ.

Да. Переименуйте в picasso_iv_flash.rom и поместите в C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documentos\Amiga
Files\WinUAE (здесь находится система XP)

Btw, for installing on Virtual HDD Image AmigaOS 4.1 in new versions of
emulators winuae64 versions 5++ still need this all old files or no
anymore? At our current time 2024 years...

WinUAE 29.2 Beta 20

- A2630 rom was not unmapped completely (only first half)
- CSMK3/CSPPC/BPPC Amiga reset bit should stop the PPC before reseting the system to prevent random hangs.
- CSMK3/CSPPC/BPPC switching off maprom programmatically (not hard reset) didn't restore original KS ROM.
- Added preliminary CDTV-CR emulation. Boots to title screen, preferences
screen also works. Only clock and 4k (nonvolatile?) RAM emulated. No
CD, no nothing else. v3.32 extended ROM added to ROM scanner, CDTV-CR
option added to Quickstart.
- PPC interrupt/thread-safety hang problems should be fixed.

- QEMU dependencies: download and unpack to <winuae dir>pluginsqemu

Ve WinUAE beta 15 bylo přidáno QEMU jádro....

QEMU PPC core requirements:

- WinUAE 2.9.0 b15 or newer required.
- QEMU dependencies: download and unpack to same directory as winuae.exe
(not plugins-dir)

С первого раза - не получилось... Ну, ничего страшного, обязательно получится потом.... Главное - не сдаёмся!...
И как там говорят- "Первый блин - всегда комом", "Без труда не выловишь и рыбку из пруда", "Москва - не сразу строилась", и как я говорю - "Чем сложнее - тем только интереснее" и "Без сложностей - не прибавляется опыт и знания"...
AmigaOS 3.9 - тоже не сразу установил и не за 1 стрим, долго разбирался, и тут разберёмся за пару стримов... Вопросы времени... В общем, всё как обычно, мы никуда не торопимся, сохраняем интерес... Со временем - вникнем, потестируем разные способы и методы, разберёмся и осилим и эту сложность!... Не впервой уже!... smile

Не первой уже разбираться с сложностями, и даже наоборот интересно, что так вышло, и мне брошен очередной сложный вызов и задача, которую буду решать на следующих стримах, когда бы они не были, по возможности...
Справлюсь, разберусь, осилю и эту сложность...

- Windowed mode status bar button mouse click off-by-one fix.
- If command line has more than one -f/-config= parameters, config will
be now reset to built-in defaults only once, before first config file is
loaded.
- Updated CHD support, uncompressed CHD write support added, can be mounted as read-write hardfile. (CD subchannel support may or
may not work, there does not appear to be easy way to convert
ccd/sub/img combination to chd)
- CSPPC/BPPC IPL_EMU register's M68K_IPL bits only change when PPC is interrupt master.
- b11 Blizzard accelerator Z3 autoconfig hack didn't work correctly.
- BlizzardPPC flash mapping fixed (b11)
- 68000 mode, without CE and more compatible, RTE instruction didn't check for odd program counter.

accelerator_roms.zip updated again, now BPPC images are full 512k, rom scanner won't detect
smaller images anymore. Manual selection still works with 256k images.

Я случайно нашел причину сам!... Просто нужно было переименовать этот файл CyberStorm PPC .rom, чтобы он наконец начал обнаруживаться, активироваться, применяться и работать в этих эмуляторах...
От имени cyberstormppc_44.71.rom - На имя CyberStormPPC.rom
P.S.:
Похоже, не все имена, цифры и символы эмуляторы могут распознать в именах файлов...

But, of course, that's not all...I will test, install updates (I have them all), different programs, software, utilities, games - all this is interesting to overcome the complexities of installations, and then test... Все успешно сделано за три дня - вникания, понимание и различные тесты!
И вам спасибо!
Но, конечно, это еще не все... Буду тестировать, устанавливать обновления (они у меня все есть), разные программы, софт, утилиты, игры - все это интересно, чтобы преодолеть сложности установки, а потом тестировать... Я люблю устанавливать игры, требующие установки, например из конфигов, а не использовать готовые вещи, мне это не интересно...
Я люблю сложности – они дают опыт и знания!
